Avenue Trick or Treating

Okay if you can't tell I'm catching up on missed posts from the past month! I'm a slacker and I'm blaming it on being sick AGAIN! We can't seem to get better I get sick, Phil gets sick, Sophia get some wierd bug, I get sick round and round we go. :) Luckily we were all feeling good yesterday and had a great time. The sun finally decided to come out and play after staying hidden all day Friday. We went for a walk into town to check out the new construction going on and to get a bit of exercise and then we stopped by the park on the way home so Sophia could play. It was gloomy and rainy all day Friday so I made sure to take an old towel with me to the park so I could wipe down the slides for her. There is just so much water a towel can hold though! :) Sophia also wanted to go down all the stairs on her bottom and down the slides I hadn't wiped off so she still came home looking like she had wet her pants. It was okay though I just changed her fed her and put her in the bed for a nap also known as mommy's free time. YAY! :)
When she woke up Phil and I took her to the Avenue in Peachtree City to go Trick or Treating. If your not from around here the Avenue is a big outdoor shopping area. The kids get to go around from store to store and the employees hand out candy. There was also face painting, free balloons, and pictures you could have taken. Sophia really enjoyed it and liked getting to see all the other kids. She would say Hi Ya!! as we walked by. :) She got a little bit of candy that daddy promptly ate for her. We did let her have the sucker she got though so we aren't that mean. :) We went grocery shopping afterwards and then came home and fed her dinner from the BRAT menu again. :)
We went to church this morning and heard an awesome sermon from Bo and a great lesson from Thomas Cagle. Sophia did great in her class and I didn't get buzzed once. :) She also stayed in the nursery without a fuss and Suzette and Debbie said that she was their little helper. She undoubtly closed doors for them, gave them high fives, and played well with the other babies. :) I'm also in the process of planning her second birthday!!! I can't believe it wasn't I just doing this?! This year has flown by! It is going to be a Winnie the Pooh Party this year because she is obsessed with him. I was going to have it at the park because she is just as obsessed with the park..I kid you not the child must dream of the park because she wakes up in the morning asking to go. :) Thank goodness we live so close to it. Here are a few pics I hope you all have had a good weekend. We are going Trick or Treating in downtown Senoia on Wed. at 10:30 am if anyone wants to come. We are meeting at the Library. So I should have a few pics from that and then the big day is on Friday! Muh haha! :)

Picture of Sophia doing her new favorite thing Coloring!! I actually got a pretty good smile too. :

This is what we do when we run out of candy...wear the pumpkin on our head. :)

Eating her delicious sucker.

Searching for something yummy!

My cute baby girl!

MOMS Club Halloween Party/Sick Again!!

Well I thought this was going to be a horrible weekend because it didn't get started off to great! Sophia woke up screaming Friday morning and this is very unusual she usually just call for me "MAMA"! :) I went in and got her and took her temp but she didn't have a fever. She just wanted to be held and rocked. We were suppose to go to the MOMS Club Halloween party and then that night to the Jesus Lamb's Fall Festival at church. Well I gave her some IBProfin in case she was teething or had a sore throat. I ended up taking her to the MOMS Club Party anyway figuring it was something little like that. She had a good time and the ladies did a great job with the party. I could tell Sophia still wasn't feeling well though she wasn't quite herself. If you know Sophia you know that she is full of energy and LOVES to run run run! Well at this party she just kind of walked around and checked everything out in fact her favorite part was a piano that was in the room. :) She sat at the piano for most of the party. We ended up leaving after an hour and went home and thank goodness! As soon as I got home I realized what was wrong with her. She had a very upset stomach!! I won't go into any details but will say that I changed three diapers within half an hour and that continued on from about 12 noon to 4:30!! Not much fun for mommy or Sophia. :( Needless to say we didn't go to the Jesus Lamb's Party. Instead we stayed home and ate dinner from the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast.

On a happier note it seems to have only been a 24 hour thing because she was back to normal the next day. Here are some pics from Friday enjoy! :)

Sophia in her costume-50's girl. She is also eating a cookie that looking back she probably shouldn't have had. Also knowing what I know now that fiber one cereal and watermelon she had for breakfast wasn't such a good idea either. :)

Rocky and Sandra Dee playing the piano. :)

I think we might have a musician.

She looks so grown in this picture.

Stone Mountain and Playing Outside!

Stone Mountain is having a pumpkin Festival this month to celebrate fall and Halloween. So last Saturday we went with our friends the Burches to check it out. I think Sophia had a good time of course her favorite thing was all of the pumpkins. I think she tried to pick up all of them at least once!! My favorite thing was getting to see her wear the candy corn dress I made for her. I think it would have worked out fine as a dress but as it turned out it was a little cool that day so I put the leggings on her anyway. It turned out really cute and she looked like a doll in it! I think I have a little tom boy on my hands though because she was fine when I but the turtle neck shirt on her and she was fine when I put the leggings on her but you would have thought I had spanked her when I put the actual dress on. She started pouting and at one point threw herself down on the bed. I couldn't help but laugh. :) She got over it pretty quick though and left the bows alone. She did manage to pull the ribbon out of her hair before I got any pictures though.

Sophia took a nap on the way home from Stone Mountain so when we did get home we had some fun family time together. She ran around outside in the backyard and played in her coupe car and rode on her red push car for a little while. I was trying to get a really good fall picture of her but that didn't really happen. It is almost impossible to get a good picture these days! Her favorite thing that afternoon was playing in her sand and water table. She was putting the sand into the water and the water in the sand and by the end there was a huge mess on our patio but she was having soooo much fun doing it. :) It was just some really nice family time and the weather was beautiful! I was able to watch Sophia and Phil playing outside while I cooked dinner and the windows and doors were open. I love fall! We've already made two pecan pies and one pumpkin pie! Here are a few pics enjoy!

What mess?! I'm not sure if you can see exactly how wet and sandy she is but we had to strip her down outside. :)

This is Sophia's new joy! Picking up dirt, straw, wood chips anything that is on the ground.

Cute picture of Sophia and Phil.

LOVED the pumpkins!

Just after taking this she ran off! Wiggly Toddlers!

Park Day

Last Wednesday I met my friend Kandis and her little girl Reagan at the Newnan Utilities Park. We got together so the girls could play and so Kandis and I could catch up. We haven't seen each other in awhile with her traveling and me being sick all the time. :) The girls had a good time Sophia made me go down a slide with her that was soooo wet! I got to the bottom and stood up and it looked like I had peed my pants. :) The girls played for about two hours and then they had lunch or I should say Reagan had lunch and Sophia stole some of it. I was going to pack Sophia a lunch but I couldn't find anything to put it in cooler wise...so I thought we could just make it home in time. That wasn't the case and luckily Reagan didn't have a problem sharing. :) Here are some pics from the park. :)

Reagan eating lunch and Sophia have a bite too! This is the best picture I could get of the two of them together. Toddlers are so wiggley!
