Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

We had a jammed packed day today! We have been planning to take Sophia to the circus for awhile but didn't think we were actually going to get to go today because of all the snow and mainly ice that was on the roads. It ended up not being that bad around 9:30 so we decided to go ahead and brave it. I'm glad we did too because it was so much fun and Sophia loved it. Everytime we ask her what her favorite thing was she changes it. :) Here are a few pictures from this morning.

The elephants were a lot of fun I really enjoyed seeing them and I think Sophia was impressed too!

Rare family photo...I think Sophia was getting tired by this point. :)

One of Sophia's favorites she just giggled like crazy about these dogs.

Phil took this one he caught the girls being shot out of the cannon right when they were coming out.

Grand Finale!

After the circus we drove home very quickly because we had a birthday party that we were going to. The little boy down the street just turned one and we were going to celebrate with his family. I don't have any pictures of that because I was to pooped to pop at that point. :) A very fun day totally worth being wiped out now.

Snow Day...and a little Princess

We had our first real snow today! Sophia was terribly excited I on the otherhand was more boo..hiss! :) I'm more of a warm weather girl. I love the sun, flip flops, and cool drinks on a hot day. So I've really had to suck it up today and go outside and play in the cold. It really didn't end up being that bad it is worth it to see how happy it made Sophia. She loved it, layed it and just all around couldn't get enough of it. We are suppose to be going to the circus tomorrow but I'm not sure if that is going to happen so I'm hoping we will be able to trade our tickets in for another day...I'll let you know. For now here are a couple of pictures from today. I don't think you can tell but I had her layered up something serious. :) I'm glad she didn't have to go to bathroom because it would have taken awhile to get her out of all the clothing she had on. The rain boots or wellies as Phil calls them are from several summers ago. I bought them not realizing that they were WAAAY to big for her. They still are to big but are closer to fitting now.
Here is the sweet girl in the snow.

Having a taste of the snow.

Sophia's good friend Alicia is having her third birthday party next Saturday and it is going to be a princess party. It has been all that Sophia can talk about and she has already picked out her outfit for the party. Introducing Princess Sophia:

Thank you Aunt Barbara for the pretty dress! :)

Valentines Day all Month!

Sophia and I were working on her Valentines Day cards for the Jesus Lambs Party tomorrow morning and also the cards for her party at school on Thursday. She was working so hard and looked so cute I thought I would take a few pictures. She got tired of me holding her hand and helping her spell her name on them so she went and got her crayons and started coloring in the pictures. :) At first I was like oh no but then I was like well it is cute and it is her original signature right now...she personalized them a bit. :)

Concentrating very hard. :)

These are some of the Valentines Day Cards she also got some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ones. Those are the ones she colored in.
She is very excited about Valentines Day this year. Tomorrow should be fun watching her hand them out. Happy early Valentines Day.

Pizza Night

We decided to have pizza night Saturday night...but instead of buying a pizza we decided to make a homemade one. Luckily Publix sells pizza dough in a bag so that part was already taken care of. We have tried to make the dough ourselves before and it ended horribly and I think we had cereal that night instead. :)

We have done this one other time with Sophia and it is a lot of fun. She is old enough now where she can participate and she loves to cook. I think her favorite part is getting to put her apron on and stir things.

Here is a pic of Phil trying to get the dough out of the bag...he said this was the hardest part. Evidently it sticks to the bag.

We made two smaller pizzas instead of one big one...we don't have the countertop space for that.

I think this was Sophia's favorite part..she would put a few olives down and then eat a few...then repeat. :)
Sorry the pictures are so yellow. Phil said it has something to do with the lights in the kitchen.

Party Season!

Well we went to Luke's Party today at Jump 2 It but a little over a week ago we went to Amber's birthday party. Sorry this post is so late but I just found the pictures. I can't keep up with the camera cards anymore. :)

Amber is a friend of Sophia's from school. She talks about her all the time along with a couple of others from school. Amber had her party at Linda's Playhouse. Linda's Playhouse is great and Sophia loves going there especially during the winter. They have tons of things for the kids to do such as dress up, tea party, a grocery store, puzzles and an arts and crafts room. The best part is that if you have the party after they close then you get the whole place to yourself! We had a great time and Amber's mom made some really cute ice cream cone cakes for the kids. I have a picture so you can see what I'm talking about they were super cute!

Daddy's little engineer!

Amber and Sophia playing with cars.

The birthday girl with her mom Kelly...they are a very sweet family.

Now tell me this isn't the cutest thing you have seen! The ice cream cone cake..not sophia eating it. :)

Luke's Birthday Party!

took Sophia to her friend Luke's birthday party this morning. They had it at Jump 2 It in Peachtree City so she had a blast and worked up a good sweat! Sophia jumped and jumped to her hearts content. If you have never been to Jump 2 It and you have toddlers this is a great place to go. It isn't as overwhelming as some of the other places. Sophia seems to have an easier time maneuvering through these inflatables. It was also great getting to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in awhile they all seem to be doing great. Oh on a funny note...Sophia loves butts she is a butt girl. She will run up to our friends and just pat them on the butt. :) She patted Luke's dad on the butt today while he was bending over to help Luke cut his cake. Luckily he has a good sense of humor and teased her about it and she thought it was funny. :)

Here are a few pictures from this morning:

Luke the birthday boy! Let me tell you he is definitely all boy!

Sophia and her friend Alicia. I will say that I had Sophia's hair done really nice..then she got all sweaty and this is what I ended up with. :)

I just thought this was a cool pic.

My little poser..Phil has about 6 of these with Sophia posing and smiling different in each one.

I just thought this was kinda funny! Phil took a very moody picture of Cleveland. :)

Southern Living Idea House

Senoia has been picked to have a Southern Living Idea Home!! We are so excited as I'm sure most of the town is. They are expecting 300 to 400 people a day to come and visit the idea house and therefore bring business to Senoia. Here are a few pictures of the construction taking place. These pictures don't give the buildings justice they are HUGE! They are brownstones so there are five pictured here. The Southern Living house is the one on the far right. They are each 3 and 1/2 stories high with a walkout terrace on top.

I couldn't fit them all in the first picture so here is a better look at the Southern Living House. It is already starting to come together they have siding up and some of the trim work around the top of the house.

If you would like to read more about the Senoia brownstone Southern Living Idea Home you can click here. It really is amazing what is going on in this little town. It has changed so much since we moved here in 2004.
